Lai Switchboards Australia is the manufacturer of choice for MTM when it comes to providing high quality, fully arc fault contained & fully withdrawable 22kV switchgear.
In 2013 our Melbourne based team successfully delivered the 22kV switchgear for new substations in Footscray, Sunshine, Newmarket and Tottenham. Being in a public space, a fully Architectural design was chosen for the new Footscray substation building. All external fittings had to match the design, even our 22kV arc fault containment ducts!
The metro rail environment is demanding and high reliability is sought after in all equipment.
Our local manufacturing and support was readily available throughout the project. We provided commissioning assistance, on site specialist re-assembly of transport sections and on site testing.
